Chief George Cooley

Serving as Director of the Law Enforcement Academy at Tuscaloosa since October 2000, Chief George L. Cooley is an entertaining speaker with a remarkable background in the field of Law Enforcement.

Chief Cooley proudly served for 24 years with the Birmingham Police Department where he advanced to the position of Deputy Chief.  He received his BS in Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama Birmingham and finished the FBI-Southeastern Law Enforcement Executive Development Series.  

Chief Cooley is involved in several community organizations, participates in many youth programs and has lectured at schools, universities, churches, and civic functions.
